Hi: I was on the star party web site for this coming weekend star party. I am from Omaha and want to attend. I found no way there to sign up or any contact info for the club. I know it costs $15.00 and there is some form that needs to be signed. How do I find a person to talk to about this. I am from Omaha; will be bringing one friend and a telescope. Please contact me soon so I know that we are allowed to be there.
Thanks,
Larry Waldo

Thank you for being at the outdoor campus in Sertoma Park. I definitely would like to visit your observatory. This is my first visit to your websit. I look forward to your next New Moon Saturday Gathering. I, too, would like to encourage my grandchildren to have an interest in our beautiful SD skies.

Dear sir/madam
I will be in South Dakota (Sioux Falls, & badlands area) last week of
July and I am looking forward to admire the sky like I never have the
chance to do here in Chicago since the light pollution is really bad –
The fantastic people at Sioux suggested to contact you for some memorable sky viewing – I will have my 14yr son with me with the hope to spark a bit of interest in astronomy in him. Is your facility open to the public and what is the cost?
Thanks
Maurizio

Hi Jenny,
We welcome Cub Scouts to tour our observatory in rural Beresford. There is no cost. You would be welcome to come to one of the public “New Moon Saturday Gatherings” the Sioux Empire Astronomy Club SEAC has here. The next one for the public will be held on Saturday, April 17. Arrive about 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. You would have not only a tour but a chance to see Mars, Saturn, and a lot of stars. If this date does not work e-mail me at to discuss alternatives. Where is your pack located? Dick Hodgson

Are you open to public on weekends?
Would my family be able to visit?
